David Howard Sr. Obituary
David spent his life sharing laughter and joy with those around him. An ardent fan of the Texas Longhorns, his enthusiasm during football season was contagious. His love for music and dancing brought an entertaining element to every gathering. David also had a remarkable talent for woodworking, and his ability to repair almost anything was a testament to his meticulous and skilled hands.
He leaves behind a loving family: his son, David Lee Howard Jr. and wife, Alana Howard of Texarkana, TX; daughter, Megan Brooke Howard of Texarkana, TX; brother, Steve Arlin Howard of Idabel, OK, one grandson, and a fiance, Debra Winger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal Marie and Stanley Arlin Howard of Dublin, TX, and sister, Sheila Howard of Midwest City, OK.
A private memorial service for David will be held on October 19th. His legacy of kindness, humor, and craftsmanship will be remembered by all who knew him.

My sadness of what could have been will never go away, at best it becomes sad acceptance of love so briefly had.

Once at a doctor's office, David ran up and down flights of stairs to get to the elevator door when it opened to make sure got out safely since I used a walker, due to knee issues and dove to the bottom of a lake to retrieve his phone that fell off the boat to get my number when I first met him.

From 1984-1989, I spent pretty much every evening, hanging out with David and the rest of the gang from the Fisher´s house. We celebrated birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and all the high and lows of teenage life, in the 80´s. Concerts, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Brother video game marathons. Too many great memories, to name. Teens Against Drugs shows, going to cemeteries at night and playing hide and seek, Haunted Houses at Halloween.
He was part of our family. He was loved by us all. We all moved in different directions, in life, I´ve spoken to him from time to time through the years. I have nothing but great memories and love for David (Stick) Howard. Gone but never forgotten.
