I served with him on the USS Preble, I thought it was a great captain unlisted by the captain and I talked for a couple of minutes in the wardroom after the reenactment very likable man. I thought he would go someplace and I found out he did need Admiral. I´m very sorry he´s gone, it was a wonderful man and a great leader STG 1 Hurley baird

Sorry to hear about Admiral Jeremiah passing I lost contact since I served under him in 1976 uss Preble westpac.I always thought he would go far and do great things his family should be proud. Was just thinking about Dave yesterday as we were watching the loving Trump supporters outside at which years ago I made a Pastoral visit to friend Dave (and Connie). That seeing the hospital started us thinking about all the years we shared as good neighbors, raising our kids together, church workers and 'being with' through all they became. Have not been in touch in recent time but continue to send the most lovingly warm thoughts, today to Connie, Krista and Jodie. Rev. Mary & Gary Myers

Dave was one of the most influential friends I have had over the years. From the time I first worked with him on the USS McGinty (DE-365), during the Rose Festival visits,and into his retirement he remained one of the 'Good Guys'! Truly a example of a person to emulate. And a Leader of the first order.

My thoughts and prayers along with condolences for the Jeremiah Family. He served as the Operations Officer on the USS McGinty DE 365 when we were deployed to Vietnam in 1961. He was a respected and well liked officer. May he Rest in Peace.

David's desired haven is heaven; he has completed his journey. Rest in peace, dear friend.

My deepest sympathy to Connie, Krista, Jodi and families.

Although we know our loved one is going to leave us, we are never prepared and grieve. It is a blessing to know they are going to Heaven where we will see them again.

Dave has been my favorite first cousin, whom I've known since we were little kids.

I was so very proud of him and especially to see him with Connie by his side in our annual Rose Festival Parade, waving a GO BLAZERS sign as they went on the parade route. Cool!

To the David Jeremiah family: my condolences.Our time together goes back to the little town of Multnomah and to Lincoln High School in Portland. I once was taught that what you are now is what you were then and nothing could be more true in Dave's case. He was the product of fine parents and I knew him as honest, sincere, funny and dedicated. Following his career from afar I saw great integrity as well. My very best wishes to you all.

My condolences to the Jeremiah family. Please know that he touched many lives, especially during his Naval career. I was a young Naval Flight Officer on the USS Saratoga and very much involved in bringing justice to terrorism during the Achilles Lauro hijacking and subsequent proceedings. A true warrior, his legacy endures today. You may place your sword in its sheath, Admiral Jeremiah. You hand over a torch burning brightly.

Connie and Family...Joe and I hope you can feel our arms around you across the miles. We are so sorry for those that Admiral Jeremiah left behind. He had a huge circle of fans and Joe and I were certainly among them. You two left huge shoes to fill for all Vice Chairmen and their spouses who followed. We have wonderful memories of the Jeremiah team...such a warm and friendly couple. We are thankful that we still have you in our life and hope to see you in the future when we are back in town. Enormous hugs to you.

Mrs Jeremiah - I just heard about Admiral Jeremiah from sister Dede Ralston and our friend Mary Jo Myers. I am sad beyond words for you and the girls ... and his grandbabies -- and the thousands of us who's lives he touched over the years. We will miss him, his ready smile and his destinctive laugh. As I sit here I'm picturing you and the Admiral on a cruise boat in Argentina, at a vinyard in Chile, watching Les Miserables and Miss Saigon in London, visiting John Paul Jones' ancesteral home in Scotland, at home with the Jodi and Krista in Quarters 8, on USS New Jersey at Fleet Week, and as the grand marshall at the Rose Festival in Portland. I'm not quite as sad now. You and the Admiral were and always will be very special to all of us. We have lost one of the best bosses ever and finest American warriors this country has ever produced.
