Carol and kids,
I am so sorry to say I did not know that Dave passed away. You were wonderful neighbors and friends and I have great memories when we all lived on Lake Ave. You could always count on Dave having a smile and a hug! I loved reading about what he did with his golf ball proceeds for Carol even though I'm still wiping away tears. He couldn't be sweeter. I hope you all are well. Again, I apologize for my condolences being so late.
Much Love, Dolores Newman

So shocked to hear the news about Mr. Johnson. Dave was a very special person. Always a smile on his face. Always holding out his hand to greet me when I came to work. He loved his wife and children so much. He had so much to say about them and he did his best to relay his thoughts. There were times when we cried and times when we laughed. No matter what he kept on going. He couldn't wait for summer to get a good tan and make money selling golf balls. He put his money in the bank until the holidays, never spending it on himself. I always told him he was THE most handsome man in the whole building! He cracked up every time. He was a true gentleman. I feel honored that I had the pleasure of knowing him. God bless you Carol and family.

I remember David from King Interiors where he worked along with others in the family run business. David loved sharing stories about his children and their accomplishments in those early years. His warm and friendly manner is what I remember most along with his smile. Rest in peace, David.
