I met Dave when he lived in Atlanta while married. He delivered wood to our home several times a year. After moving from his home in Atlanta Dave would still deliver us wood for years from his new home. Dave was a very energetic man with a smile on his face. Interesting to talk with for sure. Him and i would talk several times a year and i always enjoyed his company. I just found out of his passing in May so I'm still a little in shock over it to say the least. Dave, I for one will miss you terribly. You're a very nice man and good friend to many. So sorry to Dave's girl friend for her loss. Also the loss of a father to his kids and his immediate family. Rest easy my friend

I had just bumped into your dad, David, that very morning and told him to wish you and your brothers well. Sorry to hear of this accident and your passing (too soon). I always appreciated your friendship and kind hello's when I'd see you on the Frankton roads. Praying for blessings and healing for your family.

I have always been able to fix what you have broken. Sometimes even made it better than it was. Not this time. You will be greatly missed. Love you

My darling, David. I met you when you were about three months old in Italy. You and Dale were my babies. I was your only babysitter for three years. I was thirteen at the time, and am now 66. We have been so close over the last 50+ years. Always coming to Elwood from Texas, and you guys always coming to see us in Texas. My mom and and dad, John and Denny, are now 88 and 89, They loved all of you so much. Our hearts our broken. I love Nila and John so much. All of you, Dale and Daniel. You are so important to us. Peace, my dear David! You and Dale rocked my world! I absolutely adore you all! I will miss you, but always will love you. Annie

I had the pleasure of knowing David while he worked for G&E Farms and then for Utterback Farms. He was always kind and easy going. And his laugh would make me laugh! I submitted a picture of David at the Red Gold Growers’ Field Day this past August 2022. My heart is with Nila (who I met in 1990 at Red Gold) and with the entire family. Also, to Utterback Farms, as I know David was a key-operator within your business and a close friend.

My sincere condolences to the Johnson family for this tragic loss. I have known David and Dale since Kindergarten. We went to school together K-12. Some of the best school memories that I have growing up include Dave. Dave was always a very sincere, thoughtful, person that had a big heart for other people. He was always a champion for those who were down or needed support. He was the truest definition of a good person. RIP Dave.
