So sad to hear the passing of David. I grew up across the street in Brewer Maine from David and the King family. They were all great people. David was like a big brother to me and brought me places in his "hot rod" car! RIP David.

A true American hero. You will be missed by many. But never forgotten. Forever in our hearts. We love you dad. Love your girls.

Dave was a special man, very loyal and true to any cause. He was too defiant and strong to die in Vietnam despite impossible odds. Like most true heroes, he didn't like to talk about the war or bring attention to himself. He just gave of himself 100% and never questioned the price. I hope that he finally has peace in heaven and has discovered the ultimate hunting grounds and fishing. He will be sorely missed.

My wife,Brenda (Higgins) Rose, who went to school with David, and myself knew David as a wonderful person, a gentleman if ever there was one, and a true American hero. I knew David personally as well as Darrell and Bobby, and so remember the great years when all was laughter and great times. David will be sadly missed by all his friends, but we must never forget what David contributed to his country and his fellow Americans. God rest your soul David and may you rest in peace at Gods throne and enjoy eternal life in his kingdom of glory. It is with a saddened heart that we say good by for now , to a wonderful human being. God Bless You David, and long live the great memories you gave us all.

Bob, Darryl, and family, sorry for your loss. Many years have passed and have very fond memories of David, Bob and the parents. Lots of fun, laughs and growing up, were the order of our youth. Hopefully if I am lucky he will be one of the 5 people I meet in Heaven.

With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of grief. Psalms 46:1 says " God is for us a refuge and strength. A help readily to be found during difficult times. May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead.
