DAVID KNOEDLER

David crossed the chasm from death to life on April 19, 2022. He was 48 years old.
David was born in Oregon to James and Nancy Knoedler. David and his brother Jon, grew up together, playing outside, riding bikes, and playing games.
David got his AA at Clackamas Community College before heading to Caperwray Bible College in England. There he met his future bride, Anne Stefany, whom he married in 1997. He received his BS in Psychology from Corban University in 1998. Over the almost 25 beautiful years Dave and Anne spent together, they had many adventures. Four of those adventures live on in their children: Avonlea (22), Grant (20), Rowan (16), and Rose (15). David lived his love for his family every day. He worked for them, played with them, helped them with projects, and listened to them. Dave owned and ran Advance Lighting LLC. He climbed mountains, skied, traveled the world, hiked, laughed, and lived lavishly loving those around him.
The foundation of David’s life was his faith in the resurrected Christ and his love for God’s Word.
Because of that foundation, Dave was able to live a life engaged in loving others.
He leaves behind his loving wife Anne and their four children; his parents, Jim and Nancy Knoedler; his brother, Jon (Sandy) Knoedler and their 3 girls; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and his dog Shasta.
We celebrate his life, lived sacrificially, joyfully, and purposefully.

I just heard the news today, and was in complete shock. I had never met Dave in person, but have been doing business with him for years as a vendor of Advance Lighting. I always looked forward to conversations with Dave on the phone. He always took time out of his day to talk to me about the business, things going on in the world, and just life in general. Dave was such an interesting guy with such a wealth of knowledge of things. He had really experienced life, and as someone younger than him really admired him. He will be missed. My deepest condolences go out to his family and everyone who was touched by such a great guy

So sorry to hear of your loss. Heaven gained another angel. Hard to understand why, but God is in control, and He welcomed David with open arms.

I will never forget his contagious laugh. I haven´t seen him in maybe two decades but I can still hear that laugh. What a wonderful person Dave was. Unforgettable. I was very sad for his family to hear of his passing but thrilled at the same time for Dave because he is with the Lord. How wonderful must his life be right now? Glory to God.

Dear Anne and family,

I had the pleasure of Dave´s friendship for the last 15 years, I would speak with him often as we did business together, strategized and planned on what was next in the industry. Dave was a man of intelligence and integrity and a good friend, always good for a laugh. We are better for having Dave in our life and thankful we had the pleasure of having the time we had with him. God bless you, your family and friends. My deepest sympathy goes out to you. You and your family will continue to be in my prayers.

We were one of the many people that David and Annie blessed through their friendship and service at Glenwood. Although we haven't seen either of you for years, we remember you with love, friendship and thanksgiving. Rejoicing in David's life so well lived. Praying for an awareness of God's nearness, comfort and peace for you Annie and the family.

Dear Anne and family,
We are so so saddened about Dave's death. We have been praying for your family and trust our God to carry you in the days and months ahead.
We have so many good memories of Dave with Jeremy hiking and having such a great time together. Dave was always so full of life and devotion to the Lord Jesus. Then you came into his life and swept him off his feet. You were just so cute together. He was obviously a great husband and father and son. He will be missed but we have a day when we will all be together again in Heaven.
Much love and continued prayers.

To the Knoedler family,
It was with profound sadness to read about David's passing. I met Jim and Nancy during my past career with the Clark County Family YMCA and was always drawn by their warmth and genuine faith and caring of those around them. We shared stories about the Y, family and eventually learned of our connection with Advance Lighting. Everyone at Advance Lighting was always most helpful and pleasant. Over the past few years when I assumed more duties related to the upkeep of the facility, Dave and crew were at the top of my list when it came to service. I always felt that I was calling on a friend in those early morning phone calls while needing assistance with a lighting issue. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Norm Welsh
