David R Krohn

David R. Krohn, 79, of Harrietta went to his heavenly home on February 9, at his home surrounded by his family.

David was born on October 11, 1944, in Stetsonville, WI to Arleigh and Beatrice Krohn. He graduated from Medford High School. On June 14, 1969, he married the love of his life, Donna Blodgett. David loved being with his kids, Kim, Becky, and Bob and his special grandkids, Emma, Brianna and Jake.

David loved sports, watching westerns, woodworking, fishing, spending time with family & friends, being involved with church family and sharing God's love with others. David was a jack of all trades and held many positions including a dairy, hardware store, school janitor, furniture construction, and many more. His greatest profession was becoming a minister for the Church of the Nazarene in 1984. He retired from ministry after 30 years in 2014.

David is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Kimberly of Harrietta and Rebecca (Robert) Weaver of Wellston; granddaughters Brianna (Jacob) Ripke and Emma Weaver both of Wellston; sisters Jewel (Neiel) Gilbert of Mayville, WI, Paulette (Dennis) Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Sandi (Warren) Sjoman of Marshfield, WI; brothers Wayne (Marsha) of Janesville, WI, Ron (Judy) and Paul (Arlene) both of Pittsville, WI; sister-in-laws Diana (Devere) Thornton of Chili, WI and Alicia Huntington of Gardener, KS; brother-in-laws Randy Blodgett of Milltown, WI and Wally Rider of St. Croix Falls, WI, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Rev. Don & Irene Blodgett; sisters Ardis Officer, Judy Krohn, and Sally Sweet; brothers Llyle and Scott; sister-in-law Lynna Rider; brother-in-laws Jim Sweet and Rusty Huntington.

A memorial service to remember David's life will take place at 11 am on February 24 at Cherry Grove Church of the Nazarene, Cadillac, MI. There will be a visitation one hour before the service and a luncheon to follow.
