My sincere condolences to the family. David coached my Sparks bobby sox all star team many years ago. He was wonderful, always had a smile for us at the ball field. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

I am sorry to see this about David. He was such a fun and a nice young man when I knew him during all the years of rodeos. My sons and I will remember him with love.

Im saddened to hear about Davids passing. We started the first grade together and in 1976 there were seven originals left. I remember going to CCD alone so the boys, Dave included, could go to basketball practice since I was only girl in our class then letting them know what to study. My condolences to his family. I havent seen him in 44 years, but he seems to have kept is kind heart and will be missed.

I hadnt seen Dave LaBarry for several years, but when I read that he had passed away I was immediately filled with sadness. My sympathies go out to Janet and his family and many, many friends.

I used to work at the Western Village Sportsbook and thats where I met Dave and Janet. Dave LaBarry is one of the most impressive people I have ever met. Dave was soft spoken, never raised his voice. I knew Dave for over 10 years and never saw him angry. He smiled very easily, and was a very positive person. I never heard him say anything bad about another person. Anyone who had the privilege to meet Dave knew pretty quickly that this man was raised properly. He was a breath of fresh air in that stuffy old casino!

I always thought Dave was a man easily pleased. For him a good seat in the Sportsbook, the Washington Redskins on the TV in front of him, and a frosty cold was all that he needed. Win or lose he always had a good time.

I know I can certainly speak for the old gang of ticket writers at the Village, Mary, Paul, Beverly, Jack, Robert, and me Karel we have lost a good one. We all thought the world of Dave LaBarry.

62 is way too young. Rest in Peace buddy.

I never got the opportunity to meet David. But, I was blessed to have Janet as a childhood friend and reconnect with her. The one thing I know is she loved David dearly. I looked forward to meeting David. I knew he had to be a great man if he was Janet's Soulmate. An Italian Soul and a Basque Soul...how blessed they were to have each other.
To David & Janet's children, you are blessed to have such great parents. Hold on to the memories. And please, take care of your mom for me. Love and strength to you all.

Praying for the peace that surpasses all understanding for Janet and family and friends. I have known Janet since probably first grade. She and my daughter were friends throughout their school years. I never met Dave, but know he was the love of Janet's life. It is a blessing to be friends on FB and still be close, albeit miles apart. Love and prayers for you Janet forever. Ethel
