Dr. Barbara Wyche
July 16, 2002
It Loved your father. He was such an intelligent man. I will always remember he and I walking through the Smithsonian Museum looking at the items displayed in the "from farm to factory" exhibit. He knew the very early farm implements and gently corrected me when I consistently guessed the wrong name or use of an implement. Thank you for allowing me to meet and talk to him on this, and many other occasions, including those honoring him and his family for their sacrifice, sufferings, and contributions to the health of Americans and humankind. He was such a down to earth and yet regal human being. Love Barbara. I would have come to the funeral and other related activities but I did not find out about his death until Sunday, and his funeral until afterwards. I should have used the internet earlier. I continue to wish all of you the best. I so hoped he would be there for the fundraiser for a museum that will be occurring in October.
