David Joseph June 28, 1956 - Lang February 16, 2023

February 16, 2023 David Joseph Lang passed away at home in Everett, WA at the age of 66.

David was born June 28, 1956 in Everett, Washington to Robert and Jean Lang and grew up in Alderwood Manor with 14 brothers and sisters.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean, sisters, Kathleen and Joanie, and brother Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children: Megan, Jared, Kyla and Taylor; his two grandchildren, Ryder and Bellamie; and his siblings: Jim, Mary, Patty, Peggy, Claire, Bobby, John, Barbara, Janet, Judith and Tim.

After graduation in 1974 from Lynnwood High School, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and was honorably discharged after 4 years. Shortly after returning home, he was hired by the Boeing Company as an aircraft technician working most of his 42 years there on the 767 program in final assembly. This is also where he met his wife of over 27 years, Kathryn.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, riding his bike, gardening, bird-watching, hiking, working in his garage and just enjoying the simple things in life.

He was so loved and will be sincerely missed.

For those who would like to attend, there will be a viewing/visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday February 25th at Beck's Tribute Center located at 405 Fifth Avenue South, Edmonds, WA.

What a privilege it was to work with such a professional. The go-to guy on the 67 FA who took the time to help you get it right the first time. Reliable, hard working and kind. So lucky to have known him. God Bless his family for their exceptional loss.

To Dave´s family. Dave was a wonderful source of calm and peace in the crazy world of Boeing. He was such a shining example of calm within chaos. Dave was a man of integrity and honor. He was the guy you could count on doing all he could to keep his commitments. He was a great person. He always left you with a smile, never expressing anger towards his fellow man. Dave will surely be missed.

Dear Kathy & Family,
I am so sorry to hear that my friend Dave has passed. We hired into Boeing close to the same time and worked on the same crew. Lots of great memories both on and off work. I remember when he first met Kathy. He was floating on a cloud! He will be missed by many.

Dave was an absolute pleasure to work with. He could make a lousy work day better and a good day great. He was very well respected by everyone at Boeing. He taught me so much, not only sharing his technical expertise, but also set a wonderful example of how a good man should be. Will sure miss ya buddy.
