Glen A. Bailey

LUDLOW-Glen A. Bailey, 69, of Moore Street passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his home. Glen was born in Springfield, a son of the late James & Doris (Ruhm) Bailey. He grew up in Springfield and was educated in local schools. He enlisted in the US Army and served with a Medivac unit in Vietnam, helping to secure wounded soldiers in the field. He was honorably discharged and returned home to Springfield. He married the former Michelle Pastreck on May 27, 1972 and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this May. Glen and Michelle settled in Ludlow to raise their family. He worked as a Master Welder for Solutia (formerly Monsanto) for 27 years before retiring. After retirement, Glen, worked in the maintenance Dept. for Ocean State Job lot. He enjoyed the outdoors, and was a lifelong hunter and fishermen. He was a member of the Ludlow Sportsmen’s Club and especially enjoyed target shooting. He was a proud member of the NRA. Glen enjoyed woodworking, building model airplanes, golfing with his buddies and cooking for family and friends. He was a diehard New England Patriots and Red Sox fan. Glen leaves his beloved wife, Michelle Bailey. His loving daughters; Deanna Bailey and Lindsey M. Kopec and her husband Mirek, a wonderful son-in-law. His two cherished grandchildren; Juliana Rose Kopec and Ava Lyn Kopec. His dear brother, James P. Bailey of Hawaii and a nephew, Michael Pooler. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Edward M. Bailey in 2020. THE FAMILY INVITES YOU TO GATHER TO REMEMBER GLEN ON SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022 FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 12 NOON AT RATELL FUNERAL HOME, 200 MAIN ST., INDIAN ORCHARD. THERE WILL BE A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE AT 12 NOON. GLEN’S ASHES WILL BE INTERRED AT A LATER DATE.
