David Steven (Steve) Lowe, 63, of Helena, AL, passed away at his home on June 8, 2015.
Steve was born in Birmingham, AL April 3, 1952.
Steve retired from US Steel Fairfield Works after 43 years of loyal service where he made and kept many friends. He was actively involved in the Southern Skeet & Trap Club for a number of years where he also made and kept many friends. Saturday mornings was one of the highlights of his week. Steve was an avid University of Alabama fan, “Roll Tide”.
Steve is survived by wife, Nancy Marie Graben; son, David Allen Lowe; mother, Martha Dexter Lowe; stepson, Nathan Smith; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Tom) Miller & Susan (Edward Blevins) Betke; grandchildren, Danny, Lyn, Caroline, Connor, Annika, Ethan, Evan, Eliot, Ben, Elaina, and Etta; nieces, Laura (Scott) Fuselier and Christina Brown; great nieces, Kate & Greer Fuselier; sister-in-law, Barbara Graben Carlesso and other family and many friends.
Steve is preceded in death by father, J. Herman Lowe, Jr.; sister, Diane Lowe Brown; father-in-law, Daniel Vynson Graben; mother-in-law, Hazel McDonald Graben; and brother-in-law, Tony Carlesso.
The graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. Rev. Patty Sleebos, Chaplin, Shelby Baptist Medical Center and Rev. Mary Bendall, Helena United Methodist Church, Helena, AL will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Pastoral Care, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, 1000 1st St. N. Alabaster, AL 35007 or Southern Skeet & Trap Club, 1 Gun Club Road, Irondale, AL 35210.
