I have only just heard this very sad news and want to send my sincere condolences to the family. David was an inspiring businessman and a great personality that I consider a privilege to have known

I first met your father in the Winners on Decarie in Montreal. He was an icon for me,a true people person and a friend. Your father always cared for people before his job. Winners was never the same after he left. I did 16 years plus at Winners. I remember when he came in my store and told me the great work I was doing,and than asked me if he can do something for me. I answered him not really i am battling Crones decease but its hard to get a good doctor. He said no problem who do you want,I told him Dr. Albert Cohen at the Jewish General but he is in Montreal. He told me no problem,its not what you know but who you know. Those words stuck in my mind. Mr.Margolis got me in 2 days after he left and 20 years later I am still with the same doctor. He will be missed but never forgotten.

David made a big impact in our lives in such a short time.He was a true inspiration. Our biggest sympathies to Sam & Jo and the rest of his family! He will be missed!

Girls - We all loved your father. Many Many great stories we have of the support your dad gave us.

I first met David when I started working at Winners in our first location on Edmonton, 23 years ago. I am proud to say I am still with the company and I attribute that to David's influence on me over the years. He taught me the importance of living your values, never comprises what you believe in and that family was the most important thing in life. He guided me to being the manager I am today. I will never forget all that he did for me over the years, you will be missed. But, may your light shine on in all of us who knew you.

So sorry for your loss. David was a kind and wonderful person.
