David McCallum was a Scottish actor who played secret agent Ilya Kuryakin in the 1960s spy series "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and later starred as medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard on "NCIS."

I watched Ducky on Ncis from the very 1st episode since it very 1st aired : I enjoyed his knowledge of history- how well he got along with the Ncis Team - they all seemed almost like a family with each other : Dr. Mallard was an inspiration : he will be forever very deeply missed ! Mr. David McCallum Sir, I now have almost every comic all 22 issued but three of them, I watched every show of the man from U N C L E . My first memory of him when he taught me about poetry and life within his point of view even from Ben 10, I have a dream that I will meet him again, looking back I am grateful for everything he taught me. Mr. McCallum was our hero as youths, we all wanted to be Illya Kuriakin when we played spies with our Man from U.N.C.L.E. toy sets. He was brilliant in The Great Escape. He launched N.C.I.S. ( two series with caps only monikers!) when he swiped the body on Air Force One from the Secret Service and FBI for Gibbs and team to carry the case. He was the glue and wise one who made that team and ensemble cast such a success. His comic timing was perfect and his empathy could bring one to tears. Thank you, David. May the angels welcome you to paradise and our Lord embrace His faithful servant.

Originally I started watching NCIS because of Gibbs. After a few episodes, it was Ducky who caught my interest and intrigued me with his stories. I started watching NCIS just to see David as that gentle, confident and brave character that I'm sure David was in real life. I think the last episode that showed Ducky's peaceful farewell, every single word through-out the episode was exactly everything I would say here. David left a lot of great advice via a character he played, he made a lot of people smile and made a lot of people feel as though David was talking to us directly. May God bless your soul David and thank you for everything you've shared with us.

From watching Man from U.N.C.L.E. as a teenager, to his many movies, then NCIC, this was a "true actor". He was nothing short of being Fabfrigentastic! In NCI the gentler version of David was played in the role of "Ducky". His stories always made me listen intently. This is an actor that I will truly miss, a real man, a gentle man, one who could take on many roles!

Age has no limits. I had a crush on him when he was in Man From U.N.C.L.E. It never crossed my mind that he was 20 years older than I am. I loved his blonde hair and didn´t realize how much that influenced the men in my life.
I married a blonde haired man. One of my sons and one of that son´s daughters had that white blonde hair as children. The kind that stays blonde into adulthood.
Having done my DNA, I have found out that I am 40% Scottish. I only knew my English grandfather and thought that was the largest percentage of my DNA.
I am now much more interested in Scotland.
Peter, he sounds like the kind of father I would love to have had.
What a fortunate family you are to have had him in your life.

I was very young when I saw Mr. McCallum on The Man from Uncle and thought he was so handsome and strong. I just got an electric piano for Christmas and I wrote my one and only song about him. I thought it was so beautiful as a dedication to him. To this day, I remember the words and sing it, as I hear the music in my head. Such a great individual. He will be missed.

I loved David McCallum especially when he played Illya in the Man ²from Uncle. I was only 9 years old at that time and I wrote a song about him and played it on my keyboard. Would love to sing the song to him now over his grave, if he's buried.
He was my favorite and stil is actor/entertainer. Rest in peace.

I first saw David in The Invisible Man in 1975. From then on I've been an avid fan watching reruns of UNCLE and later Colditz, Sapphire and Steel, Kidnapped and many others. His performance in Mother Love was heartwrenchingly sad. His dedication to his role as Ducky quite incredible. A wonderful actor and more importantly a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Sending condolences to his family and friends.

He had such great stories on NCIS, & I would have loved to meet him personally & hug his neck, Abby-style! My Auntie had a mad crush on him while he was in U.N.C.L.E.!
Now he hopefully greeted all my grandparents, who've now all left for the afterlife...most all were in their 80s; the last one lived to almost 104 & passed in 2015. Go share a dram or 3 David, I'm sure they'd love to meet you too <33 :-* >=}<

I grew up watching MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E literally as my first TV show and was a big fan of both Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. I believe that their role play characterize later in my life when I had to face the practical world. I appreciate their presence in my life time, RIP!

My first memory of David was his role in the Man From Uncle. I wasn't fond of his hair cut. I loved his role in NCIS and was amazed that he was 70 years when he started. He was perfect in his role. I am now reading his novel, Once a Crooked Man, and I can hear his voice throughout the book. I will be praying for his soul and his family. My condolences to the family. I hope he was as great off stage as he was on. May God rest his soul.

I had full size portrait poster pics of both David and Robert from the Man from U.N.C.L.E. in my room, growing up. I had the full Man from U.N.C.L.E. kit with the gun and badge and card that said I could be called to duty within 72 hours. I treasured the contents of that kit and was eager to get the call LOL. I wanted to be a secret agent so badly when I was a little girl. I never saw Mr. McCallum in anything beyond that performance as I looked up to the two of them (especially Robert being from MN like me) and Sean Connery with such respect for what I believed was their dedication to their craft and goodness vs evil. Thank you, Mr. McCallum for making it so real to me! I grew up to be a true Patriot and I'm sure you and Mr. Vaughn had something to do with the early formation of a good person. RIP Sir! Job well done.

I first remember David from The Man From U.N.C.L.E when I was just a kid.
I was really happy to see him return to a series on T.V. as "Ducky" on N.C.I.S.
My wife and I both admired him much in both roles and we thank him for his many years of devotion to our entertainment.
He was quite a handsome young man and a very adorable older gentleman.
May he now after 90 years on this earth Rest In Eternal Peace and the family find comfort in knowing they were able to spend many years with him

When I was watching NCIS I saw the in memory of David MaCallum. I was shocked. I was so glued to his character of Ilia Kuriakim when I was younger. I literally ran into Mr. McCallum one Sunday morning in a grocery store. He was in Camelot in our local therater. I heard a lot of tittering giggles from women around the store and then the blur of a person zipped around me and stopped short in front of my cart. Too later. I made contact. He looked like a dear caught in headlights when he looked at me. All I said was "sometime it's jusrd being a normal person, isn't it?" With relief on his face, he shook his head yes, got his can of peaches and sped off. I saw him later that night in Camelot and he was fabulous! Great show. Cherished memory. Rest peacefully sir. You will be missed.

I remember Mr. McCallum, from when I was a little girl. My father, used to watch the Man from U.N.C.L.E. I can recall when the show was on air, but too small to understand what the program, was about.
