I worked with Dave a few times. He was a good firefighter and had a good sense of humor.

Pat: Denis and I extend our sincere sympathy to you and your family at this sad time. As a junior captain at #6 station Denis very much appreciated Dave's guidance and mentorship. As a friend whom we saw all too little of in Texas, we will remember the good times that we were able to share with you both and the other dept. retirees. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Pat,

George and I will have you in our thoughts today as always. We are sorry that we could not attend the memorial. We will remember all the good times that we spent with Dave and you. Especially the summer of 2010 that we spent in Winnipeg visiting and going all the places with you and Dave. We are so very grateful to have known Dave. A really great guy. We will miss him very much. When in Pharr, next Febuary, George and I along with the "Gang", will have a rum drink in honor of Dave.

Hugs,

George and Mollie Kennemer

Dear Pat, I was so sorry to read of Dave's passing in today's paper. I was passing through Winnipeg on the way to my neice's wedding. Although it has been years since I have visited with you and Dave, I have many fond childhood memories from days on Lorette Ave. These times can be so difficult, but family and friends can be such a support. They certainly were for me when my husband passed away, and continue to be so. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Pat, Glen and Brian. Chris informed me about Dave's passing last Thursday, and I have been thinking about the great times Linda and I had with Dave, yourself your boys, Chris, Dave and finally the girl Diana. Sunday nights at your kitchen table playing crib, and the food was pretty all right too! Remember when Uncle Dave arrived at Waverley Street as Firefighter Uncle Dave when an unmentioned young fellow decided to have a fort and a cookout and the two large trees ended up being an insurance claim and a new basement family room!! There are so many times Dave tried to teach me ,stuff that I actually remember to this day. You really have to change the oil in your car, and rain does not really wash your car! I was really the knucklehead as it was outlined so wonderfully by Dave and Grandpa Sparrow. Pat, you and Dave were a great team! I am sorry that Greg and I did not see Dave last July when we were in Winnipeg for my 39th birthday! (right) I wish we could be with you next Friday, but unfortunately we will not be able to attend. All our best wishes, and we look forward to seeing you on our next visit to Winnipeg. Bruce & Greg in Toronto
