I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Meritage Homes. Such a kind and funny man. My thoughts and prayers are with the Morkert family.

I have known Dave since my days at Petty products. Must have spoke a dozen times in one day. It wasn't until he came to work at McCaleb Construction did I get to put a face to the voice I heard for so many years. We will all see you again one day. Until then, watch over us all.

My prayers go out to you and your children. I worked with Dave at Canoa Homes and McCaleb. With his dry sense of humor and being such a hard and knowledgeable worker how could he not be liked. I am saddened by this loss and I'm very sorry to hear he was taken so young. He is a very liked man and I know how much he loved his family and was so proud of them. God Bless.

I was so shocked when Erin told me about David. I know it's been years since I've seen you, but hearing this brought back many memories of when the kids were younger. I'm at a loss at what to say to convey how truly sorry I am. All I can offer is for you to cherish all the wonderful memories of your time together here on earth and know that you will be together one day in heaven. I'll be thinking of you all and praying that God gives you the strength go on, as impossible as that might seem right now.

I worked with Dave at Meritage. He was always there to lend a hand and a smile. He made me smile everyday whether it be with a joke or just a look. I will always remember him with a great sense of happiness.

He always spoke of his children with great fondness and we always heard of their great accomplishments in swimming. Dave was so very proud of his children.

I don't know where to even begin on this one.. I am still trying to rationalize that you are not here in a physical form. Dave was a big brother and a friend. He and Ron taught me everything I know about Home building and allowed me to explore every faucet of the field. He wasn't the easiest person to deal with at times; there were times that I took his sense of humor to heart. We had our differences of opinions, but there was always true respect. I am saddened that in the midst of playing phone tag a week ago, we did not actually connect. My last text to you " Let's shoot for tomorrow", unanswered. Knowing you- if this was what was to be done, you would not have wanted it any other way. I take solace in knowing that you were called for what is next for your soul and that your brilliant light, laughter and love will live on with all those you touched. Until next we meet my friend. My sincerest condolences to Alice, Lindsay, Grace and Stephen.

I met dave about 4 years ago when I was in need of a friend.what a goodman.my thoughts are with his family.

I did not know Dave well, but he made a lasting impression on me as an incredibly intelligent, and genuinely good man. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Dave at Meritage Homes and was truly grateful for his time and patience while teaching me about our industry. Most of all I'm thankful for the laughter he always brought to all of us. I'm very sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Dave for a few years, saw him at the gym, and around the neighborhood. I can't ever remember having a conversation with him when we didn't laugh.

I'll miss and never forget you.

David was my friend, we laughed together and encouraged each other with our school work.He helped me after a rough surgery left me unable to get around. He was a stand up guy. I miss him.

Dave and I went to Jr. high and High School together, we were the last two guys picked to play on the Alice Vail football team,so became good friends. Have not seen him for 37 years, but he was a good Kid,and sounds like he became a good man.....My condolances to his family,God speed Dave !
