David Alan Nadeau

I was on the USS Mississippi with Dave. We got to see some of the world together. He went way too soon.

Has it been 4 years since we lost you Dave? I can still hear your Maine accent and indescribable laugh.

I was very sad to hear of Dave's passing. We spent many watches together on the U.S.S. Mississippi.

David welcomed us into his home many times whenever we would fly down with his brother Mark to see the races on Memorial Day weekend. We always had a good time and would laugh all weekend. He had a good heart and will be missed... So sad to hear of his passing but we know he's with the angels now. Our prayers to David and his family.

Dave was One Awesome Friend, he is and will be forever Missed. Monty. Gary L. Montgomery.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Dave was my mentor when I came aboard the USS Mississippi in 1982. The best lesson I learned from him was no matter what the situation was around us, our task was the safe and precise operation and maintenance of our power plant. Politics and personal feelings had no place in the work. Fair winds and following seas to you, his family, with the assurance he will be watching over you.

So sorry for your loss ,keeping you in my prayers.

Somewhere I have a photo of Dave in Monte Carlo. Derek Hayes, David, and myself went from Toulon France to Monte Carlo on an two day leave. David, the practical joker he was, convinced me that growing up in Maine he had learned to speak French. There was a bus parked about 100 yards away and he told me to go as the driver if it was the bus to the main gate of the Base. He said say "Le gate de Main" to the driver. Wellll...gullible me walked up to the bus and said to the Driver "Le gate de Main. He look at me as if I were a drunk sailor. I knew I had been HAD. (Dave and Derek were rolling laughing on the bench where they watched with glee. One of the best in the Navy was Nadeau!

Dave will truly be missed. I enjoyed working with him, he has blessed many people at McGuire Nuclear Station.

Derek forwarded this to me. Many years ago on Mississippi he was there when I arrived. One of the salty ones. He always made you laugh and work for your sign offs in your books. Fair winds and following seas shipmate.

A Mississippi shipmate who will be dearly missed but remembered at every Ship Reunion. Rest in peace shipmate we have the watch.

I, also served with Dave on USS MISSISSIPPI. Many memories and great times. He is missed by those of who benefited from his friendship. Truly a great person. Fair winds and following seas, my friend!

I was a shipmate of Dave's aboard the USS Mississippi. I am saddened to learn of his passing. It seems that he continued to live his life well after our service together ended. Dave will be missed. Fair winds and following seas shipmate.

I have worked closely with Dave for the past 10 years at McGuire. He truly made work more enjoyable. He was always making us laugh even when our tasks were difficult. It was obvious to those who worked with him just how much he loved his family. He will be missed.

I worked with Dave at McGuire. He was always into something to get a laugh. He was a great friend and co-worker. He will be missed.

Dave and I spent time together onboard the USS Mississippi during the early 1980's. We spent long hours on watch together and a lot of time exploring the world. He was always a good and easy presence with a keen sense of humor. I am diminished because of his absence but the world is a better place because of him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I was sad to hear of David's death and the great loss to so many. He was a good support for my time as the interim pastor of Ebenezer. A good guy. Denny Hacker

I knew Dave while at McGuire Nuclear Station and worked closely with him for many years. He was a good friend and I will miss him. It is an honor to have been his friend.

We are so sorry for your loss Kevin. We did not know Dave personally, but have heard many good things about him from Melinda and Melia. He was certainly a very loved man who loved many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jeff , Debbie and Logan Carter

What a great family man and husband! Dave was a special person who loved life and those around him. I will definitely miss him and know he is now home in Heaven.
