My condolences to the family. Education must be in the genes. May your happy memories and the memories of others help to keep his spirit alive as you say your final good-bye.

My deepest sympathy on your loss. I never had the honor of meeting the man, but learned so much about him through his son, Mike, that I felt as if I had. God be with you all in your time of sorry...

Uncle David was a wonderful man. His forte was education. He was a natural born teacher. He taught for years in the Detroit Public Schools, and he loved his students. His last assignment was as assistant principal at Detroit's Joy Middle School in northeast Detroit. After retiring he taught at Our Lady of Loretto in Redford. I saw him recently and he said that he'd still be teaching if he could. Miss you, Uncle David! We loved you a lot! P.S. Thank you for your service in the US Army.

Mr. Nolta was my teacher at Dixon. He gave me some of the greatest gifts of my life...knowledge & a thirst to know. I will always fondly remember his rolled up sleeves of his crisp white shirt & his tie stuck inside two buttons military style. He was so smart and generous to share all that he knew. Rest in Peace, sir. I'm so glad that your life touched mine.

Mr. Nolta was one of my favorite teachers at Dixon.
Remember him teaching about Greek mythology and then had him as my Latin teacher. Surprisingly, I have used Latin often through out my life. Thank you Mr. Nolta, you did a good job.
Rest in peace.

I was a student of Mr Noltas at Dixon Elementary in the late 1950's. He was a wonderful teacher. He made the class interesting. He also kept us talkers in line. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies on your loss. I was the Guidance Department Head at Joy Middle School when Dave was the Assistant Principal. There was no finer human being or educator than Dave. I will always remember our talks and his wise guidance. May his memory be eternal.

The world will miss David, there was no better teacher, maybe some equal, but not better. He was one of the smartest men I've known, just ask my daughter David helped often with information she needed for her classes at Ladywood. . I taught with David at Lessenger Jr. High and later at Our Lady of Loretto as my afternoon counterpart. He will be missed.
