David O'CONNOR Obituary
Passed away suddenly at the age of 39 in Tecumseh, Ontario on December 11, 2017. He is survived by his parents Dan (Doc) and Starla O'Connor (nee Rizok) and his son Michael John Danny O'Connor. David was predeceased by his grandparents Harold O'Connor (Ida), Rose O'Connor (his special love), Joseph and Mary Rizok (nee Burke) and his uncles Mike O'Connor, Joseph O'Connor, Mike Plantus and aunt Joanne O'Connor. David is survived by aunts Linda Hudson, Jill Lariviere (Rob), Christella Rizok (Frank), and Aunts Elaine, Kim, Darlene, Madge, Mauri, Debbie and uncles Jack O'Connor (Joyce), Tommy O'Connor, Brian Rizok, George Rizok (Wendy), Joey Rizok (Janet) and Johnny Rizok. He has so many beloved cousins, nephews and nieces too many to write down. David was born on June 29, 1978 to Dan and Starla O'Connor. He was a beloved only child and loving son. David was an amazing artist and animator. He began to draw as soon as he could hold a pencil at the age of 2. He volunteered at Theatre Windsor where his favorite project from inception was the Haunted House. David worked at Fords for 8 years and was currently employed at Windsor Metal Tech Inc. He was an avid hunter and fisherman a past time he shared with his father, son and cousins. In 2004 David met Jodi Pflazner and on August 11, 2005 they welcomed Michael John Danny O'Connor into the world. Michael was the love of David's life and he was a very devoted father. Starla, Danny, I won't say I can't imagine how you feel because you know I do. The death of a son or daughter at any age is impossible to fathom but in the prime of life it's impossible to wrap yourself around. I remember well and yet vision it as a dream. When people would say, I'm sorry, have faith it will get easier with time..Almost eight years since I lost my daughter. It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.
