David Orme Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 5, 2024.
David Beardsley Orme, a man of profound faith and humble spirit, was called home to his eternal rest on September 28, 2024, at the age of 76. Born to this earthly journey on November 2, 1947, in Jackson, Mississippi, he departed from Payson, Utah, a place that he cherished deeply. A true artist at heart, he devoted his adult life to painting on canvas, capturing the beauty of creation that he so reverently admired.

Mr. Orme's service to his country was a testament to his character, as he served with honor and distinction in the United States Army from 1967 to 1971. His commitment to service continued long after his military career, as he pursued further education at the College of the Desert. His dedication led him to a life of stewardship in the field of renewable energy, where he worked as a windsmith and fervently contributed to the Coachella Valley Water District as a surveyor, safeguarding the precious resources bestowed upon us.

David's love for the Lord's creation was evident in his passion for the great outdoors. He found solace in the sanctuary of nature, embracing the call of the wild through camping, fishing, and exploring the vast wonders of the natural world. These moments of quiet reflection and communion with the earth were a source of endless joy and renewal for him.He also loved his Wife Linda of almost 50 years

As a family man, David Beardsley Orme was a beacon of love, wisdom, and grace. He imparted the values of gratitude and respect for all of God's creation to his sons, Doug, Remy, and Chris, and through them, to his cherished grandchildren, Jillianne, Karyanne, Zarek, Aidan, Landon, Uraya, Makayla, Carter, Brooklyn, and Rylie. He is survived by his beloved sister Sharon Mulford. He now joins in glory his beloved wife Linda, his parents Fenton and Leila, his brother Fenton Jr., and his grandson Douglas, who have all preceded him in the journey to the Kingdom of Heaven.

A service to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Orme will be held with full honors at Camp Williams on Friday Nov the first at 10a.m all are welcome. Inspired Funeral Home of Salt Lake City will provide solace and support to the Orme family during this time of reflection and remembrance.

In the quiet humility of his life's work, David Beardsley Orme embodied the virtues of patience, kindness, and an enduring respect for all living things. His memory shall continue to inspire a life of devotion, service, and a profound appreciation for the blessings of every new day.We would like to thank
