David Petruska

David Petruska, 57, of Monessen, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. He was born April 21, 1951, in Monessen, a son of Vita Morello Petruska, who survives, and the late John Petruska. He worked as a machinist for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport plant. David was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen, the Allenport Rod and Gun Club, and the Fireman's Club No. 2, the Ravens Athletic Association and the "Chateau Cruisers" Car Club, all of Monessen. Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife, Rose Petruska; a son, Nicholas Petruska; two brothers, John Petruska and wife Nancy, of Monessen, and Dennis Petruska and wife Lori, of Columbus, Ohio; and beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule funeral home, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 28, at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. David Nazimek officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
