David Polinsky Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2022.
David Joel Polinsky, 72, of Tarpon Springs Florida, passed away from COVID on July 28th, 2022, while listening to his favorite music and surrounded by loved ones.

David was born on February 23rd, 1950, to Morris and Mary Polinsky in the Bronx, New York. He was a musician, a barber, an insurance plan marketer, but most of all, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

After retiring to Florida, he enjoyed spending time with his family, shopping, exploring local cuisine, going to the beach, and riding his bike.

In 1972, David met Annmarie and went on to have three children, Dustin, Kara, and Veronica.

David was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Mary Polinsky. He is survived by his wife, Annmarie; son, Dustin (Andrea); daughter, Kara (Jimmy); daughter, Veronica (Nik); granddaughters, Poppie and Ellie; sister, Lois; and niece, Michelle.

A celebration of David's life will be held in New York in October 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (givenow.LLS.org), an organization he felt strongly about.

A very sorrowful time. Our heartfelt memory is when David reached out and kept with us an open line of communication throughout the September 11 ordeal until the safe and long awaited return of Andrea and Dustin. He waited for them vigilantly at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. No words can truly express our gratitude. His kindness shown brightly. We will always have a special place in our hearts for David and will miss him very much.

A dear friend, David and I shared many, many adventures. He was a big part of my life back in the late 60's and early 70's, playing music and just playing around. May his memory always be for a blessing.

David´s passing is a profound emotional loss for us. He was a kind and gentle soul who cared about those he loved and showed it. He wanted folks to feel comfortable and thought of you first. Our hearts truly are broken with his loss. I hope his spirit helps to guide us to always do the right thing.
