David Poon

David K. Poon died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. He is survived by his sons, Tyler and Colton Poon, brothers Johnny and Kimmy Poon, and father Tony Poon. He was predeceased by his mother, Mei Poon.

David was a cherished and beloved uncle by his nieces, Sasha and Mila Poon, and his nephews, Robert, Evan, and Oliver Poon. He was the best father in every way possible. His sons are a true reflection of who he was as a person. David was kind (sometimes), funny, driven, and above all else, he loved his family and friends. He was known for sending his nieces and nephews the best gifts he could find.

David had many hobbies and always did what he wanted, how he wanted to do it. Whether that be flying down the highway in his favorite Dodge Charger, modding his guns "legally", or building the biggest sound system possible, David did it with zest and zeal. He found fun in every aspect of life.

From the moment his two sons were born, to his final moments, he loved them with everything he had. Dave lived his entire life fast and hard, but became a man when Tyler and Colton were born. They were their own little trio out in California, where they not only became a father and sons trio, but the best of friends. They did everything together, from cruises to fixing up junker cars, to finding the best buffet in town, and always skipping the rice and bread (that's just filler food), he did everything he could to be at every one of their special moments, no matter how big or small. From graduations, to track practice, David was there cheering his sons on.

All in all, David was an amazing man, whose legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.
