DAVID STANLEY POPP
David S. Popp, 68 of Independence, MO passed away April 21, 2015. David was born December 26, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Popp and Alfred Popp; a brother, Theodore Popp and a sister, Ruth Sosbee. David is survived by his lifelong companion, Georgia L. Thomas, they shared 39 years together, three siblings, Elsie Cash, Alfred Popp and Rose Wood, extended family members, Joan and Bob Mach, Bill Thomas, Steve George along with numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. David graduated from William Christian High School and was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church of Independence, MO. He was employed with Kansas City, Kansas public School District for 28 years. He was a loveable person with a kind heart and always had a passionate word for anyone he met. He will be truly missed by all who knew him including his adopted pets, squirrels and birds. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Condolences may be left at www.floralhillsfuneralhome.com.

David and Georgia stood up for us when we married in 1980.David was a very kind and laid back man, I know he will be missed by everyone.

Mr. Popp was loved by all the students at T A Edison school. He always had a smile and a kind word for all of them. He will be missed by all.
