David Vila Posadas, 73, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away peacefully at Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital on April 18th, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He was born on February 11th, 1945 in Manila, Philippines to Oscar Feliciano Posadas and Verna Vila Posadas.

He graduated from The Philippine College of Criminology with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminology in 1974 and worked as one of Manila's finest for 16 years. He immigrated to the United States in 1981 where he retired as a corrections officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 20 years of honorable service.

David loved and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; food, travel and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his great sense of humor and his memorable jokes. He had a kind heart and generous soul. He was loved by many and will forever be missed.

David is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Sister Eva Posadas, Brother Cesar Posadas.

David is survived by his wife of 54 years Erlinda Posadas, daughter Josephine Uy, spouse Rex Uy, son Donald Posadas, spouse Estrelle Posadas, son Darren Posadas, spouse Shawna Posadas and daughter Jocelyn Zimmerle, spouse Joseph Zimmerle. Grandchildren Arielle Uy, Matthew Uy, Ethan Posadas, Collin Posadas, Bryce Posadas, Dylan Posadas, Kai Posadas and Jayden Zimmerle. He is also survived by his Brother Gerry Posadas, sister Lilliane Lozano, and numerous in laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 5PM-9PM and Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 4PM-8PM at Restwood Funeral Home at 1038 W. Plantation Dr. Clute, TX. Christian Vigil Service at 5 PM followed by a rosary on Wednesday evening. Dcn. Gary Forse will preside. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 AM, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Lake Jackson. The celebrant will be Fr. Loc Phan. Committal will immediately follow at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, TX.
