David passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with cancer. David was born and raised in Martinez, Ca. He graduated from Alhambra High School. He had a long career with Contra Costa Sanitary District.
He was a huge sports fan. He loved the Bay Area sports teams, especially the S.F. Giants and the Oakland Raiders. He loved vacationing in Hawaii, camping and spending time with his many wonderful cousins.
David is predeceased by his father Tony, sisters Linda and Rosemary, best friend Bob Lucero, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
David is survived by his loving wife Julie, his beautiful son David Julian, mother Gloria, sisters Vicki and Paula, half-brother Anthony, nephew Juan (Suzan), nieces Athena (Sean), Chelsea, Theresa, great-niece Toni, great-nephews Johnny, Max and Luke.
A memorial service is being held at St. Catherine's of Sienna Church, 606 Mellus St, Martinez, on October 29 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David's name to Hospice of the East Bay 3470 Buskirk Avenue, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, Make A Wish Foundation-SF Bay Area, 55 Hawthorne Street, Suite 800, San Francisco, CA 94105 or the charity of your choice.
