David Raphael

RAPHAEL, David David "Dave" Scott Raphael, 53, of Marietta, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. Athlete. Executive. Gardener. But of all David's accomplishments, he relished none more than being a family man. A graduate of the University of Illinois with a B.A. in Finance and a M.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago, he was a life-long marketing specialist for the automotive and related industries, including Ford Motor Company, Auto Trader and Mighty Auto Parts. In addition, he was a published author in multiple trade magazines. Born and raised in Skokie, IL, his positions located him throughout the country and ultimately in Marietta, GA. David was an avid sportsman and was a ranked tennis amateur, winning numerous tournaments in the local area. He was also a runner for many years participating in charity runs, and recently developed a passion for cycling and joined the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure ride. Surviving David are his wife of 27 years, Lynne Raphael; his son, Sam; daughter, Michelle; parents, Bernard and Fern Raphael; and brother, Andrew Raphael.
