David Preston Ray, Jr., of Conway, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born on July 8, 1936, in Gurdon, Arkansas, to the late David Preston Ray, Sr., and Carolyn (Wingfield) Ray.

David is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Delores Ann (Hightower) Ray; his daughter, Dawn Lynn (Ray) Salvitti and her husband, Matthew James Salvitti; and his beloved grandchildren, Olivia Dawn Salvitti and Elijah James Salvitti.

David brought joy to those around him with his infectious smile and captivating stories. His presence was a source of love and light for all who knew him. While his family deeply mourns his passing, they take solace in knowing he has embarked on his greatest adventure with Jesus and will continue to watch over them as he always did.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Home Care for their compassionate support during this time. Special thanks are given to caregivers Dawn Pruitt and Felicia Decker for their loving care of David alongside Delores.

A memorial service to honor David's life will be held at Changepoint Church, 3525 AR-89, Cabot, Arkansas 72023, on January 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers or gifts, attendees are encouraged to bring memories to share in celebration of David's life.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Arkansas Cremation, 10515 W Markham St., Suite B1, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. Messages of condolence may be shared with the family through the Guestbook section at www.arkansascremation.com.

David's memory will forever remain a blessing to those who knew and loved him.
