David Bartlett Riffle, Jr., age 92, of Mount Sterling, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024. David attended Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church, David was an active alumni member of the Chillicothe High School, Class of 1950, he was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, and was a big fan of the O.S.U. football program and was passionate about the Grief Support Group Madison County.

He is preceded in death by his parents David and Linnie Riffle, Sr., wife Jeanie (2012), and daughter Valerie Beale (2000), brothers Harold (Virginia), Lester (Dodie), and Menace (Claris).

David is survived by his children: Tracey (Rita) Riffle, Eric (Tracy) Riffle, and Julie (Ray) Karchnick; son-in-law: Rev. Edwin Beale; grandchildren: Natalie Beale, Kristen (Jeff) Castle, Whitney Justice, Cassandra Nelson, Charissa (Nick) Mathews, Jackson (Bridget) Riffle, Stephanie (Josh) Mund, David (Ashley) Riffle, and Stacy (Kevin) Daniels; great-grandchildren: Aubrey Nelson, Ella and Tenley Mund, Nolan and Aalynn Daniels, Keegan and Marlee Riffle, Chloe and McKenna Castle, Mason Mathews, numerous loving relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 11:00am-1:00pm, where Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1:00pm, with Rev. Edwin Beale officiating, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MT. STERLING, OH, 43143. David will be laid to rest at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, OH.

David was very passionately involved with the Madison County Grief Support Group, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the: Grief Support Group Madison County c/o Madison County Senior Center, 280 West High Street, London, Ohio, 43140.
