Irene, I'm so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. My father was John Lingwood and he had enjoyed many visits from you and Dave. I had just reread, this evening, the letter you & Dave had sent with some memories of my Dad. I will be reminded of Dave and his wonderful words every time I think about this letter.

To all of the Ritchie family
My thoughts and prayers go out to you on the loss of your Dad. I remember your Dad from years ago at Triwood hockey games, as the Dad of the best looking gang of boys in the neighborhood, and of course handing out papers in the back alley. He will be missed in the community for sure. My Mom and Dad (Tom and Shirley) are in the States right now but send their condolences as well. Thoughts to all of you and Mrs. Ritchie too

I worked with Dave many years ago. He was a real gentleman. Dave had a wonderful sense of humour and had a nice way of putting people at ease.

My deepest sympathy to Irene and her wonderful family.I first met David in 1957 during my last year of Pharmacy at U Of A. My move to Calgary in 1963 brought about the start of our enduring friendship, personally and professionally. Dave's warmth, wit, generosity and sincerity will be sorely missed but forever appreciated. May his beloved Irene and their children find consolation knowing that David will not soon be forgotten by his myriad of friends . RIP.
