David Roberts, Jr Obituary
Big Dave's career in the Air Force spanned from the Vietnam War era to Desert Storm where he enjoyed many years flying in the F-4 and
F-111 fighter jets. Through his military career, Bubba earned many service awards including the Top Gun award.
After his military retirement, he taught math and coached football and baseball at Camden Military Academy for 20 years. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer (2 hole in ones), card player, and football fan especially for his alma mater Auburn Univ. WDE
Big Dave was definitely the strong silent type but through his tough exterior, he was a big teddy bear and loved his family and friends dearly.
A celebration of his life will be held sometime in late January in Camden for family and friends. Details will be forthcoming.

Dave Roberts was my supervisor at CENTAF/9AF for 5 years during Desert Shield/Desert Storm and other conflicts. He was an amazing boss, super intelligent, quiet, and always looked out for me. Giant of a man not just physically but a truly great man. I am blessed to have known him.
