David, Rest is peace. I am so proud of the young man you became. My parents hosted you at their Christmas party where you sat on Santa's Lap, They were so taken by you and would have adopted you. You bacame a big part of my life. I Know The Lord is comforting you. The world really needed you, but God wanted you more. Bless you young man, thank you for the time we were able to share. I wish we shared more. Memories of you make my heart smile. Alan Burnette

I have just revisited your FB post and re-felt the emotions. Reflecting on the senseless death of a lovely young man, David, and the amazingly generous, thoughtful actions of his Mother and family allowing not one, but many lives of other individuals to be saved by their selfless decision to share David's organs.

I never knew you, but your beautiful spirit shows through the few things I've read and seen online. Your warmth, compassion, love, freedom in life, creativity, and light will resonate and live on in all those who love you and even in those who never had the honor of meeting you, like me. It seems so unfair such a wonderful person who brought so much light could be taken so soon. <3

Dear David and family - I don't know you, but I wanted to say I think you are a very special person for having changed that fireman's life, and his family and friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the much needed inspiration in an all too dark world.

I didn't know David. I just read the amazing story of his gift of renewal to the volunteer fireman. I know that you, his family, are mourning the loss of a fine young man. I'm sure God has a special place in Heaven for him, and for each of you for making this decision during your time of great loss and pain. May the Lord bless you deeply and comfort you in your tragic loss. David was a fine looking young man and his family is beautiful, as well.

Nancy -
So saddened to hear about David. I met him the one time and we all had a very nice evening and I remember what a smart, cute, pleasant young man that he was. After checking his history out on line I could see and appreciate that he was enjoying life and doing what he loved to do. He was quite the star and a pretty cool "dude" in his field with many friends. His life was short but it seemed that he lived it the way that he loved it. Not many people have the chance to claim that.
