David Roembke Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2024.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Dave Roembke, on September 19, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on June 4, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he dedicated his life to his family and community, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and generosity.

Dave is survived by his dedicated wife, Renee Roembke; a devoted father to seven children and their spouses David (Dianne) Roembke, Steve (Marisa) Roembke, Lisa (Ryan) Olson, Mike (Calla) Roembke, Andrea (Max) Taylor, Traci (Ryan) Lammle, Ashley (Matt) Pfrang, and a proud grandfather to twelve amazing grandchildren (Michael & Lauren, Preston & Blake, Steven John, Paxton, Amiya, Maleah & Kya, Renley, Layla and late granddaughter (Brooklyn). Also survived by his siblings Paul (Dee) & Joan Roembke, Brother & Sister in-Law Ron (Sallie) Ratelle. Dave was proceeded in death by his parents (Robert & Josephine Roembke), In-Laws (Donald & Ann Ratelle), Brother-in-Law (John Ratelle), and Sister-in-Law (Dee Roembke). Dave found immense joy in his family. He inspired those around him with his unwavering spirit, sense of humor and the love he had for each of us. His patience and wisdom will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Dave served his community as a member of the Sussex Fire Department for 20+ years, where he demonstrated bravery and commitment as a Firefighter/EMT to helping others. He enjoyed a fulfilling career in the utility and building industry, working for Dueco/Terex and ultimately as a new construction sales representative for Victory Homes/Allan Builders. His dedication and work ethic were unmatched, and he touched the lives of many throughout his career.

In his later years, he retired and settled in Chandler, Arizona, where he continued to embrace life despite his battle with Parkinson's disease. Even as he faced challenges, he remained a person who preferred to give rather than receive, always looking for ways to help those around him.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Bullwinkles (Location: 18900 W. Bluemound Road, Suite 100 Brookfield, WI 53045 from 11 AM to 4 PM. Family and friends are invited to join us as we honor and remember Dave, sharing stories, food/drink, Packer game and celebrating the remarkable man he was.

Though we grieve his loss, we find comfort in knowing that he touched our lives in ways that will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear father. You are loved beyond measure and will be dearly missed.

Quote from Dad:

"I know we had breakfast and lunch before noon, but we should probably start planning dinner soon!" RIP Dad!

I remember Dave and his dedication to Sussex Fire Dept. Working along side him with emergency calls , water barrel fights and Lions Days Brat stand. He was always a professional. There were lots of laughs too along the way. His family was so important to him. God Bless you all
