So sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He was always such a joyful, kind and generous person. Always will remember the days when Dave would fly the Boston group to Hanscom when another pilot couldn't be found. Then he would fly back to McGuire and fly commercial back to Boston.
May he rest in peace.

I'm truly sorry to learn of Dave's passing. I had the good fortune to fly numerous missions with Dave during my stint as a 335th Nav. I also have to send my regrets in not being able to attend the services for Dave. But I promise that he and his family will be in my thoughts during the coming days.
Sincerely,
Larry Snider
335th Nav - 1976-82

My sincere sympathy and condolences to Dave's Family and friends! Twenty-three years after retiring from the USAF I sometimes struggle to remember names and faces of our old Buzzards. That's not the case with Dave! He was a memorable man and in my mind I can hear his voice and picture his face as clearly as if we had just returned from a mission together yesterday! I'm proud to have served in the 335th with Him!
Godspeed!

I remember you well in our memorable days at McGuire.

Oh why couldn't there have been another get together with Dave before his final flight west? I really enjoyed flying and working with him back in the McGuire days - seems like it was yesterday. As a C-141 pilot, Dave was a good stick and a real pro but one who didn't take himself too seriously - that's why it was so enjoyable to be around him. We will miss you Dave, but I'll be seeing you on the other side.

It was wonderful flying with David on the Aeromedical Evacuation Missions. He was a joy to be around. I remember him having a towel draped over his arm and serving meals on the C-141. Rest in peace David.

I will never forget all that you were. You were the best stepfather, husband, and pop-pop. Your character, integrety, and compassion were unmatched. A truly unique person and an example for every one of us.I hope we can live up to half of what you modeled. Fly high Captain. No more suffering. We love you. We miss you. Things will never be the same. Heartbroken.
