Some people make such a lasting imperssion that you remeber them throughout your life. David was such an individual. Like Donella, we started together in kindergarten. Even in those early years, it was obvious that David was an exceptional individual. He was known not only for his intellectual skills but also for his desire to be a friend to all. I extend my sincere sympathy to his family and to all those whose lives he touched.

Our friendship goes way back to 1950 in Kindergarten in Dearborns "Henry Ford Elem. school! We went on to Woodworth middle school, and we graduated from Fordson High School. We lost communication during your years in the Army and in Vietnam. Luckily our class officiers did organize class reunions where we reconnected. it was terrific to see your smile across a room of our classmates again!
So relieved to see you survived the awful war, and again Thank you for your service!
During our childhood you were always smiling, and ready to play. The schoolyard was right behind my house and in the wink of an eye, a few of us gathered to play Softball.
When we were older and had some change in our pockets, we would walk (or bike) up to Andys store. They had a large candy display of penny candies.
A soda fountain where you could get a Cherry Coke, or a rootbeer float. What do I remember best about this lifelong friend is his softspoken kindness! He never had a mean thing to say about anyone. He was very smart, he was attentive in classes because he was genuinely interested o learn. Now, 73 years later, he has passed away, leaving a huge hole in our hearts! He'd be at a Detroit Tigers baseball game right now if he could!
Now, this Aug 5th, he will be smiling at all of us attending our 60th Fordson High School Reunion. We will miss his welcoming hug, and news about his family.
Julie, you & David raised some beautiful & responsible adults to carry on in this fractured world. He was so grateful to have you and his family to love & enjoy.
David, you will never be forgotten! RIP dear friend.

I grew up with Dave. He was always happy and full of energy. He was comfortable with himself and I always envied him. No one can match your kind soul and the love you brought to everyone around you. BLESSED BE!

My big Brother was my buddy as we grew up. We were born only 14 months apart and had
loving parents and lots of fun in our youth. All five of us "kids" had a wonderful time growing up in Dearborn ,
Michigan. We are proud to say, Dave served in Vietnam. Missing him.!

Certainly a man of many talents! He was a classic older brother - determined, unafraid of challenges, faithful to the tasks he took on, and appreciative. He will be missed in many ways.
