David Arthur Schansberg

Dave always had a special place in my heart. We played together and even worked together on the Voice and Jeffersonian newspapers during high school. After his serving in the Marines and I in the Navy we returned home and I got a call to help out at the paper part time running the addressing machine. He told me that only he and I had the knack of running it at full speed. I would have done anything for him. I had a full time day job and the newspaper work was night work. We were FRIENDS and that is what you do. He needed help so I helped, really it was fun. You do not have many true friends in life and I can say Dave was a TRUE FRIEND. I hope when my time comes I will see Dave again.

I was so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was one of my best friends during high school. Had many good times over the years. His being the Best Man when I married Joan always has held a special place in my heart. He really was one of the best. Sandy, God be with you and the children and help you endure the pain of your loss.

Sandy, Eric, Chris, Cathy and Mary...sending my sincere and heartfelt condolences in the passing of David. He was a Godly man who lived his life in such a way that we would all be wise to try to emulate his example. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
