DAVID S. SELLERS Sr.

SELLERS, David S. Sr. Age 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022. Dave was born in Newton, December 6, 1949, a son to William and Geraldine Sellers. He was a graduate of Newton North High School. He was the former Executive Director of the John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club of Newton. He was also a member of the Newton Rotary Club and Sons of Italy Lodge 1069. He had a passion for his family, sports, and inspiring young people to be productive, caring, and responsible members of the community. Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia D Marzilli; his children, David S. Sellers, Jr. and his wife, Keri Sellers; his daughter, Julie (Sellers) Sanborn; along with Dawn Pechiney, Melanie Friedman, Jennifer Lawson, John Moore; his sister, Barbara Brent and her husband, David Brent; his brother, William Sellers and his wife, Jeanne Sellers; his 13 grandchildren, Owen and Gwenyth Sellers, Kylie and Mia Sanborn, Erik and Jenna El-Masri, Alex and Rachel Friedman, Joseph Dalicandro and Daniel and Melanie Lawson, and Vivian and John James Moore; along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, from 4 – 8pm in the Magni Funeral Home and again, Wednesday morning at 9am, followed by a 10:30am Funeral Mass at Our Lady Help of Christian Church, 573 Washington St., Newton, Burial to follow at Newton Cemetery.
