He is survived by son, David "Allen" Shaffer Jr. (wife -Tearria "Tea"); daughter Elizabeth Marie Rose "Shaffer"; grandchildren, Amy Sha Shaffer, Brittany Ellen Shaffer, David Allen Shaffer III "AJ", Trinety Daveen Crist, Nevaeh Rose Hysell, Josiah Michael Hysell, Morgan Brylee Pence, Isabella Elise Rose, and Josie Lynn Fuller; mother, Alice Hartman Shaffer Zitzke; sister, Lisa (Donald) Rausch; brothers, Michael and Richard Shaffer, and Brian Zitzke, Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.
David was a voracious reader. As a kid, he was a Star Trek enthusiast. He was proud of his family, loved his grandkids, and enjoyed family history. He is Forever loved and forever missed!
David's services will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with calling hours starting at 10 am and funeral services at 1 pm.
Interment will be at Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, following the services.
