Joyce and I are deeply saddened to learn of David's passing. He was extraordinary friend during some tough times for me in Detroit. We shared however many more delightful times than sad and for his good humor and constant support he will be deeply missed. Our condolences to his family.

I didn't know David but I do know Cathy Schipilow, for whom I have great respect and admiration. It seems those traits of kindness and caring run deep in this family. May your great memories sustain you during this time of grieving.

Ralph and I met David when we were posted to Detroit back in the 80's We have fond memories of this gentleman who took us in and made us feel welcome. Ralph was the military liaison to TACOM. He took us to dinner and a Neil Diamond concert and I have to say who he resembled:) We met up in Monterey and he was great fun driving really fast along the coast line of Big Sur such good spirit he and Ralph just loved it:)) We met up a few other times for more laughs and dinner. We are so sorry to learn of David's passing. Our thoughts and payers are with the family, especially our dear friend Jeannie.

In the late 1990's David and I worked together; he was in New York and I was in Chicago . When we moved to Buffalo and he and Chris moved to NOTL we had a chance to see them more often. We have fond memories of our times together. We are sorry for everyone's loss of such a friendly and charismatic person.

I worked with Dave in NYC in the tourism section of the Canadian Consulate in the early 80's. Lost track of him. My wife Louise and I have fond memories. Sad lost. Our condoleances.

David and I first met in Detroit and later worked together in Ottawa. I remember a superb colleague and consummate gentleman. Our thoughts are with you.

I was so sorry to read of David's passing. I knew him well when we were both in Foreign Affairs, and remember best his creative thinking and sense of humour. We reconnected in 2009 or so, when I was living in Jamaica and put him in touch with a local entrepreneur who was interested in buying a farm in Southern Ontario. David was a special person.
