I am so sorry to hear about the loss of David. He trained me as a engineer and was a very kind man. I learned a lot from him. Every time I saw him in the yard office, his face would light up when someone asked him how his son Cody was doing. He was so proud of his son. We could talk for hours on end about Cody's games, and the trips he took with his family to the games. Englewood yard will not be the same without David. He will be truly missed on the RR. May God bless David's family.

Cody,
Our family grieves with you at this time. My husband, Mike came to the visitation. We are John Buckley's parents. Know that we have been praying for you since Melanie McKague sent us the news. My specific prayer is that God would hold you in the palm of His hand, and give you the peace that passeth understanding.

I went to high school with David and had sporadic contact with him over the years since. One thing I know from that contact, he was incredibly proud of his children and made that clear in every conversation I had with him. Stefani and Cody, he loved you so much.

Dear Stefani and Cody,
I was so sorry to hear about your father and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of the two of you and you are both in my prayers. I know your dad must have been so very proud of you both! I am sure the two of you are reflections of him, which says a lot about the kind of man he was. Take care and hang in there.
Sincerely,

The first time we met Dave, he was meeting the Army Baseball team as they got off the bus for a tournament in San Antonio. He had about 40 gift bags full of snacks and treats for all the guys and a smile as big as Texas. On behalf of the Army Baseball Family, you will be sorely missed, Dave. We love you, Cody, and may God bless and keep you and your family.
