When I was a mere toddler, Dr. David Soll saved my right eye after I had accidentally sliced it in two. I owe him what little vision I still have in that eye, and I am very sorry that he died the day after I marked reaching the age of fifty-seven.

My condolences to the Soll Family.
I was a resident at Hahnemann Department of Ophthalmology under Dr Soll(1981-1984). I am grateful to him for accepting me into the Residency Program and for all he taught me. I will always remember him for the caring and professional person he was.

This brilliant surgeon performed reconstructive surgery on me in 1988. Not only was he as kind as he was skilled, but the entire staff was wonderful. He was truly a great man.

Dear Soll Family, I am sorry for your loss. Dr. David B. Soll is my HERO, and I will always be enterally grateful for him. When other doctors said I would never see, Dr. Soll said, “I’ll take care of him.” Fifty-one years ago, he not only gave me the gift of sight he changed my life in ways I could never put into words. He treated me like no other Doctor. He was a blessing to so many, what more can you aspire to in life? He will be missed but will live on in the Hearts and Minds of those he loved, and those he helped. I am writing my own very special dedication for him on my website, matthewcostello.net

Dr. Soll offered me a job in the office and subsequently, a spot in the ophthalmology residency in 1985. This ended up changing my life. Thank you, Dr. Soll, for having confidence in me.

Dr. Soll hired me right out of PCO in 1976. He gave me my first job as an O. D. He treated me very well, I learned so much working in his office. I stayed with him for 13 years, when I wanted to realize my dream of having my own office. Thank you, Dr. Soll, for all you did for me!

As friends of Adam and Susie's, my family met Dr Soll and Mrs Soll on several occasions. They were both kind, engaging, and very supportive of the marathons that Susie and I ran. We enjoyed spending time with them at the Jersey Shore and their beautiful home. We know Dr. Soll will be missed and pray for Mrs. Soll and the rest of the Soll family. Trish and Leo Dunn
