A few days prior to David's passing, my husband and I started rewatching Starsky & Hutch. A few episodes in, I read that David had passed. What a huge gift to see him in his Hutch days while trying to get over the loss of this lifelong hero. RIP David Soul, Forever in our hearts

For a lonely Pre-teen, "Starsky and Hutch" was a wonderful escape for me. David Soul's music was so uplifting and beautiful. Mr Soul will be so missed. Thank you for making my growing up years so much more easier. You will never be forgotten. Forever in my heart. RIP Dear David.

As a kid, I grew up watching my favorite show and heros Starsky and Hutch in Derby KS. My buddy, Paul and I I were such big fans.. everyone called us Starsky and Hutch. I later got into hot rods as a teenager because I loved the big red tomato with the white strip. Later, I became a police officer, and have been in LE for 35 years...all because of my childhood heros. Thanks so very much for the impact you had on me. You will missed greatly my many, especially me.

I first saw David Soul in the TV show HERE COME THE BRIDES, but I was a fan of Bobby Sheman. I then met him in the TV show STARSKY & HUTCH. I was a high Sophomore, overweight, shy. I found a kindred spirit in another fan of the show and each week we'd discuss the recent episode. We became close friends, and oddly began calling one another Starsky & Hutch (she called me "Hutch" because I teen fanned out on Davis Soul. I also bought his records. I called her Starsky because of her teen crush for Paul Michael Glaser.) Today, she is still my best friend! We still call one another by those iconic names.

I flew all the way to London from New Jersey twice to meet David Soul when he performed in Jerry Springer the musical and 2 performances in Mack and Mabel. Of course he was my heart throb when I was six years old in Starsky and Hutch and I had billions of photos of him all over my wall. He was an amazing actor and singer, and I loved all of his movies. The best part was that he came into the pub after his Mack and Mabel performance which I was praying he would do. The highlight of my trip was that he came and sat down next to me with his wife, Helen and the rest of the cast, and they were so sweet and he talked to me about performing because I performed as Mabel in the US. He told me he knew the art of calligraphy, and how to forge your signature, and he told me to write my name, and then he turned it upside down, and just copied what he saw without seeing the letters. Just follow the shape and lines. Then he wrote his name and turned it upside down, and I got to learn the art of calligraphy and copied his signature. iIt was the highlight of my trip and I can´t believe I remained so calm . Helen and David were so nice and I am so lucky to have met them. God bless you, David you gave so much to the world and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will always be remembered. Dave (aka David) and I were classmates at Augustana (College) University, Sioux Falls, SD. We were good friends during our time at Augie. We were in the same society (Alpha Kappa). All my memories, are going away one by one. My dad used to enjoy crime shows, and Starsky & Hutch, was one of them. I was a teenager then, so I wasn't home much, but when I was I watched it, too. My favorite David Soul role was Benjamin Mears, in Salem's Lot, along with Lance Kerwin. It's so sad, bc so many of the stars I grew up watching are passing away.
