I knew David on the Delta Queen Steamboat. I taught him bartending and he became one of my best bartenders. We worked, roomed, ate, partied and laughed together. His genuine and sincere kindness really stood out and I’m very sorry he has “cast off”so soon!

To Kate, Amanda & all who loved this guy,
Our hearts ache as we hold you in our thoughts & prayers. We will always remember Dave's pleasant nature & quick smile. He always took time to talk to us any time we'd bump into him. Even as his own health declined, he was still always sure to ask "how everyone was" and showed genuine interest in what we had to say. He never missed an opportunity to talk about his family and would beam with pride when he did. The pain you feel now will fade with time, but the lovely memories you've made together will stay with you always. We know you'll cherish those memories just as he cherished you, and pray they will bring you comfort.
Love to all,
Patty & John

Kate, Amanda and family, I was so saddened to hear about Dave's passing. Such a great man! He was best man at my wedding in '74. He and Mark were such good friends in those high school years. Your families are in my thoughts and prayers for strength.
