STEINHOFF, David Charles - Of Grand Blanc, age 59, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Memorial service will be held at 8309 Vassar Road, Grand Blanc from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009. Cremation has taken place. David was born in Flint, Michigan on July 15, 1950, the son of Harold and Ruth Steinhoff and was a resident of Grand Blanc. Mr. Steinhoff retired from General Motors. Surviving are his partner, John Tappen, of 26 years; sisters, Ardis Bowers, Adelma Medford, Linda Jackson and Susan Steinhoff; brothers, Bill Steinhoff, Howard Steinhoff, Daniel Steinhoff, Richard Steinhoff, Allen Steinhoff, Carl Steinhoff and Lee Steinhoff; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Steinhoff; brothers, Jim Steinhoff and Steven Steinhoff. Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuneralhomeinc.com

We were so sorry to hear of David's passing. I have not seen him in many years, but my memories from school are his great laughter and beautiful smile - What an amazing gift! Know that our prayers and love are with you Lee, John and your families. God Bless!

I am so sorry to learn of Davey's passing. My condolences to each of you --- I live in Chicago now, but heard of Davey transitioning from my brother Jeff, who still lives in Michigan.
May God bless and comfort each of you during this difficult time. I will always remember swimming in the pond out behind your home on Horton Road. Great memories from a remarkable family!
