Funeral services for David "Curley" Stream, age 66, of Lenox, who died Saturday, September 24, 2011, at his home in Lenox will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Creston. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Lenox from 3 to 7 with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7. Interment with military rites accorded by the Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard will be held in the North Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials can be directed to the Lenox Ambulance and Fire Department. Memories can be shared with the family at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox. David Emerson Stream was born January 20, 1945 in Volga, South Dakota the son of Adeline (Becker) and Robert Stream. David was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church and attended there most of his life. David graduated from Creston high School with the Class of 1963. David was united in marriage to Patricia Sychra on July 22, 1967. David served at Minot AFB, North Dakota from 1965 to 1969. He also served in the Iowa Air National Guard in Des Moines from 1984 to 2002. David worked as an auto body repair man, gas station attendant and Maintenance Technician for Taygold Co-op. He was a Lenox Volunteer Fireman for twenty-three years and the Lenox American Legion Commander for five years. David enjoyed camping with family and friends, fishing and hunting with his sons, and fixing any vehicle problems his family (daughter) experienced, along with watching his grandchildren's sporting events. Left to cherish David's memory are his loving wife of forty-four years, Pat Stream of Lenox; two sons, Brett Stream of Lenox; and Aric Stream and wife Angie and grandchildren, Palen and Dawson all of Bedford; a daughter, Angelene of West Des Moines; three brothers, Dick and wife Sharon Stream of Afton; Doug and wife Deb Stream of Council Bluffs; and Ormas and wife April Stream of Culver, Oregon; three sisters, Clo and husband Rich Faulkner of Papillion, Nebraska; Cindy Isdahl of Placerville, California; and Linda Stream of Creston; along with many other relatives and friends. Preceding David in death are his parents and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Isdahl. David will be missed by his entire family. The memories that were shared with the family will remain in our hearts forever.
