David R. Swinehart

DAVID R. SWINEHART, 83, OF POTTSTOWN David R. Swinehart, 83, of Pottstown, PA, husband of Joyce E. (Slonaker) Swinehart, died Monday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Harvey C. and Alice M. (Oakes) Swinehart. Mr. Swinehart was employed as a draftsman with the former Sander & Thomas of Pottstown, Gilberts of Reading and Universal Concrete of Stowe, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Saint James United Church of Christ, Limerick. Mr. Swinehart was a former member of the Pottstown Optimist Club. He was an avid bowler and fisherman. He was a great father and husband. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Timothy A. and his wife, Esther Swinehart, Plano, TX; David S. and his wife, Susan Swinehart, Pottstown, and Brian R. and his wife Patricia Swinehart, Pottstown; one daughter Branda L. Swinehart, companion of Eric Witte, Pottstown, and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Fulmer and Rose Ashworth. Funeral services will be private. Officiating will be Reverend James Roth. Burial will be private in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
