David Uhlig Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2025.
A respected Colorado attorney has passed on to his next destination, ending his courageous battle with Syringiomyelia. David fondly remembered working in Aspen and skiing on his lunch break.

Aside from his bulldogs and his friends, David's greatest love was his work, which he continued until the end. David accomplished much in his short life, founding Summit 6 legal and later Uhlig Transactional, specializing in real estate and business law.

A celebration of life will be held in Denver, Colorado during the summer solstice. For details, please reply to [email protected]

A bright light was seen by hosts of angels and long-gone relatives and friends, I believe, as our dear friend David passed from this world into the eternal next world. In a moment all mystery of time and space was revealed to someone we know. How wonderful and painful to have known someone in this world who right now, gets to know everything.

The deepest darkness of the universe must have paused as David's physical body and spirit took the hand of someone invisible to us and came to take him to an eternal home.

Who knows how many years David's family and friends will be out of contact with David. Maybe many, many years or days until we reach his destination. People still are standing in line for coffee, pumping gas into their cars, going to work, school, somewhere. Nothing has stopped. No one knows about what happened except the ones he loved. In a matter of hours, it will be dark outside again.

We will all comfort ourselves when we miss him. One day the grave will be empty because it cannot hold God's children for long. The empty grave. That's what we live for.

We will miss David, I knew him when he worked in Aspen across the hall at Herb Klein's office. Tragic to lose someone so young.
