I know that Coach was well loved and respected. He had great character and a big heart. And I value the short time that I got to spend with him. I apologize for signing this book so late, but wanted to send my condolences to the family.

Vandy, I feel honored to have met you during the time that I did. Thank you so much for being an amazing husband to my Lovely Aunt LaDonna. Never in my life had I see her light up and shine through with happiness as she did in the years that you spent your life together, and I know that was due to your kindness, understanding, sense of humor and love that the you shared with her. My your body Rest in Peace but your soul fly high forever. Cheers! We will miss you!

Vandy was such a nice, gentle man and we enjoyed being his neighbor when he lived in Des Moines. So sorry for the family's loss.

Vandy, you were a very intelligent giving soul, & I'm so thankful for all the great memories we have shared. You will be greatly missed by many people that have been involved in life for many years! I'll never forget the picnics, hikes, and bike rides, and all the stories about there's no snakes in Colorado...till one was right on the bike trail almost standing up like a guard rail. Bless you and all the laughs we have shared with you, your boys & your 2nd family!

To Coach, the best step dad,
You were and still are the best step dad that I could ever ask for. I know I was just a step kid, but you loved me like I was your own. It was your guidance and idolism towards you that made me the man I am today and I could not thank you more for that. I will continue to carry the many memories that we created as father and step son in a very special place in my heart. I could not smile any bigger knowing that you are happy in a great place with Grandpa Coach.

I am grateful for the wonderful experiences we shared...the laughter and fun and the trust to discuss our personal experiences ! You were always there! You are loved and always will be.
