Dave graduated in 1964, 1 year behind me, at Clawson High School. In 1967 what a surprise to find him on the USS REPOSE Hospital Ship. We were both wounded Marines. The ship was in a collision and we were off to the Philippines for repairs. 45 days later we were back in Vietnam going in different directions. That was my Dave story until 1976 St. Joes Hospital Pontiac. Dave was a security guard and walked up to me asking my name. What a shock. My father was dying so I was at the hospital a few more times. Dave and I had lunch and I never saw him again. Just a great quiet guy. The war was hell on him. What a hero! my deepest sympathies to the family.
I just read the sad news today 6/13/2021.
So sorry

I still think of Dave when we were kids growing up in Clawson Michigan, we were happy go lucky and having alot of good times together. I still grieve at his passing , it was too soon. I love you my old friend Dave.

Dave was my best friend growing up in Clawson Michigan and I fondly remember all the good times we shared together. I live in Nevada now and missed his memorial which grieved me. I shall always think of him as my blood brother which we vowed when we were kids. We were in Vietnam at the same time but he was a true hero shedding his own blood for his country and never thought it was anything special. I miss you Dave and I love you.
