Growing up in Flagstaff with Dave and Beth as my second set of parents was such an honor.

They were role models to follow, held me to the same standards as their own children, extended their love and made me very much a part of the family.

Dave helped shaped my life and will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to the entire Williams family. Ken Carnes

I worked under Dr. WIlliams while at the School of Hotel and Restaurant Managment in the 90s. He was the Dean of the College, I was an advisor.

I came into his office early duringhis tenure there, introduced myself and then let him know that I was on my way to a treatment center for eating disorders the following week. What he said to me still moves me- without knowing much about me or my journey, he said one word: 'congratulations.' If that was not enough, the day before I left for Sierra Tucson, he handed me a sealed envelope and asked me to open it when I found myself alone. I do not remember what he said- but I do remember how he made me feel: seen. I have never forgotten his kindness and deep humanity. Rest in Peace, Dr. Williams.

What a great educational leader Dave was. I had the pleasure of working under his guidance when he was Superintendent of Flagstaff Schools, and later when he was Dean of Education at NAU. Always kind, fair, and thoughtful. Tony Armenta

Loved our trip to Cabo and getting to watch Pops and Uncle David laugh and joke with each other, and just hang out as brothers. They were always smiling when they were together:)
